Discover the Magic of Clay Art
One of the most delightful aspects of this clay project is the simplicity of the materials we use. Everyday items, such as various shapes of dry pasta or pen caps, transform into extraordinary tools.
These tools help us create intricate textures, patterns, shapes, and entire designs.
In this class, we'll explore the simple yet elegant technique of painting engraved designs.
While clay is commonly used to form shapes, this session will focus on engraving the clay, turning it into a beautifully decorated and painted tile.
Keep Hands Damp: To work with clay effectively, keep your hands slightly damp. This will make the clay easier to handle and prevent it from sticking to your skin excessively.
Smooth Cracks: If the clay begins to dry out and cracks form, simply dampen your hands and gently smooth out the cracks using the moisture on your fingers.
